25 Year Interior Warranty
Technistone offers a 25 year warranty on material used in interior applications, subject to Technistone’s official warranty terms and exclusions.
Register Within 30 Days
The Technistone product registration must be completed online within 30 days of the slab being installed.
Indoor Quartz Surfaces
This guide is written mainly for Technistone quartz worktops, islands, splashbacks, vanity tops and other internal residential surfaces.
Commercial Use Differs
Technistone states that material used in commercial premises is not covered by the 25 year interior warranty and has a five year warranty.
Important Warranty Note
Technistone quartz is a strong engineered stone surface, but the warranty is intended to cover qualifying material issues in the Technistone slab. It does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, poor support, movement in cabinets or substrate, impact, cutting damage, heat, outdoor use, incorrect cleaning products, chemical abuse, normal marks, or natural colour and pattern variation.

How Long Does the Technistone Warranty Last?

Floor tiles are listed separately with a two year warranty, subject to the technical installation requirements.
What Is Not Covered
Use, Care & Damage Exclusions
- Outdoor use or exposure to prolonged direct sunlight or UV radiation.
- Abnormal use, incorrect handling, misuse, physical abuse or chemical abuse.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, extreme weather conditions, acids or alkalis.
- Damage caused by inadequate care and maintenance or cleaning not in line with Technistone recommendations.
- Damage from cutting directly on the surface, cracks, blunt force, impact damage or breakage caused by the customer.
- Temporary stains, fingerprints, smudges and other normal marks caused by everyday use.
- Products installed in commercial buildings such as restaurants, hotels, airport halls, shopping centres and apartment complexes.
Installation & Fabrication Exclusions
- Incorrect installation, incorrect handling or installation by a non-licensed fabricator.
- Failure to follow Technistone installation instructions, local building regulations or joint design recommendations.
- Use outside the normal applications recommended by Technistone.
- Movement, deformation, collapse or modification of the substrate or supporting structure.
- Obvious surface or visual defects that were not claimed before installation, assembly or fabrication.
- Extra repairs or alterations such as plumbing, electrical work, wall finishes, floor finishes or relocation of the slab.
- Processing, reinstallation and associated costs where a slab replacement is approved.
Colour, Pattern & Sample Variation
Technistone slabs are made from more than 90% natural materials. Slight differences in colour, structure and design are described by Technistone as part of the natural properties of the slabs and are not treated as defects. Samples, photographs and showroom displays should therefore be used as a guide, because the final slab may vary in colour, movement, background tone and pattern.
Hot Pans, Cutting Damage & Everyday Use
To help protect your Technistone quartz worktop and keep the warranty position clear, use chopping boards for food preparation and do not cut directly on the surface. Hot cookware, oven trays, pans and heated appliances should not be placed directly onto the worktop. Use trivets, heat mats or insulating pads as part of normal kitchen use.
Recommended Care & Maintenance
Everyday Care
- Clean regularly using suitable quartz-safe cleaning products.
- Wipe up coffee, tea, wine, oil and other spills as soon as possible.
- Use a chopping board instead of cutting directly on the Technistone surface.
- Use an insulating pad, trivet or heat mat for hot pans, trays, dishes and heated appliances.
- Take care with dishes, pans and metal objects around worktop edges and corners.
- Follow Technistone’s official maintenance advice for your surface finish.
What to Avoid
- Do not use strong toilet, oven, grill, stainless steel, cooker hood or drain cleaners on the worktop.
- Do not expose the surface to strong acids, strong alkalis, hydrogen peroxide or hydrofluoric acid.
- Do not place very hot items directly on the quartz.
- Do not drag heavy metal objects, pans or appliances across the surface.
- Do not use the product outdoors unless the application has been specifically checked and approved.
