Sink cut outs

There are several options for sink cut outs that are available for granite and quartz worktops in a kitchen setting . If you have accepted your quote from us and proceeding to the template stage, it’s important that you have your sink  on site for the template/ measurement date we have given you.

Listed below are the common types of sinks , along with some further information on each specific sink and how it will need to fabricated and fitted.

Inset sinks

An inset sink, that would sit on top of the worktops. This is usually with its own drainer board & sink all in one unit.

Undermounted sinks

An undermounted sink that sits under the worktop. Often seen with 5 drainage grooves cut into the stone surface.

Belfast / Butler sinks (undermounted)

A Belfast or Butler type sink that’s undermounted fitting. It sits under the worktop, but is also seen from the front.

Belfast / Butler sinks (not undermounted)

A Belfast/ butler sink that is not undermounted , but finished  level or higher that the worktops.

Flush fitting

A flush fitting sink, usually made form stainless steel. This has a rebated worktop cut out and sits level with the surface.

Sit on top

A sit on top sink usually found in bathrooms, not often used in kitchens
